Some ideas that people use are:
1. Using Nicotine Products regularly to try to avoid cravings in the first place
2. Think about something else
3. Take some long, slow breaths
4. Go for a short walk
5. Drink a glass of water
6. Talk to someone
7. Look back at your reasons for quitting
Some people I work with find it useful to write down the reasons why they want to quit, sometimes if they are planning to save the money they would have spent on cigarettes they put pictures of the things they are saving up for. They pin in up somewhere that they will see it daily to remind them of their reasons for quitting.
