….and on this very topic, I have just seen a client this week who was 9 days quit and she asked me why she felt LESS stressed than normal,when she assumed she would feel more stressed without her cigs. I was delighted for her that she actually felt the difference in her perceived stress levels so quickly after quitting. “Stress” is really caused by smoking, the feeling of “relief” after each cigarette followed by the low of the withdrawal shortly after. If you are doing this 5, 10, or 20 times a day you are going to feel constantly in a state of “stress”
